Great minds

Last night at 8:30, I sat down for a video chat with Mom and Dad. We had arranged the video chat because they wanted to watch me open the gift they sent me. I was eager to do so as the package had been sitting in my living room for two days and I was wracking my brain trying to figure out what it might be.

So there, on a live video chat, I opened it up with Mom and Dad looking over my shoulder.

Inside the large box was a deluxe LegoTM set complete with a book on 70 ideas of the things that you could build with it! This set has over 600 pieces! Combine this with the set that Doug and Rachel gave me and I now have over 1,000 Legos with which to build my Lego house.

Of course, what’s really remarkable about this is that Mom and Dad got me the Legos without knowing that Doug and Rachel had gotten me Legos, and vice versa. I guess that all picked up on the fact that a 34 year old kid was having a good time playing with his 3 year old niece’s Lego set on Thanksgiving.

Great minds think alike!

So thank you, Mom and Dad. It was definitely worth the suspenseful wait.
