The baby dream

Last night, thanks in large part to the recent baby class, I had a dream that our baby was born and I was carrying him around everywhere I went, showing him off to everyone I saw, and in general acting as if this was the world’s very first baby.  I wouldn’t let anyone else hold him, however.  I wanted him close to me at all times.  Furthermore, he cried now and then, but in the dream, whenever he was crying, I found that I was not carrying a baby but instead, an old-fashioned speaker-phone speaker, and it was the speaker from which the sounds emitted.  When he wasn’t crying, he was, of course, a regular baby.
