Lunchtime

06 Feb 2006 » 1 min read

Normally, I nap for the second half of lunch, but not today, which is strange since I had trouble falling asleep last night (because of the time change, I suppose). When I woke up this morning, my first thought was:

You’ve gotta be kidding me!

But up I got, and into work, and I noticed (since I haven’t been here for a week) that it’s definitely getting lighter earlier in the morning. Two weeks ago, when I crossed the Potomic in the morning, it was dark. This morning, it was pretty light out. The sky is crystal clear right now, and a rich deep blue too. It almost looks like a warm summer day. Until you step outside.

I broke the normal routine today and instead of the usual PB&J, I made a big, thick turkey, cheese, bologna, cheese, salami and cheese sandwich with mustard and mayo. It was yummy anad it was a nice change. Of course, tomorrow, I’ll be back on PB&J.
