June was a record-setting month for me as far as reading goes. As of this moment, I have read 10 books this month, which beats my previous record of 9 books set back in March. This record goes back all the way to when I first started keeping my list in 1996. Once again, it is thanks to audio books, which allow me to multitask: read while doing other things, like exercising or doing chores around the house. 9 of the 10 books I’ve read this month have been audiobooks.

It is likely that I will finish at least one more book before the month is out. The next book queued up to read is The Deep Blue Good-By by John D. MacDonald.

Since June ends the first half of 2013, it means that by the end of the month, I will have read 32 or 33 books. This is more than I have read in some entire years, Some books are longer, some are shorter, but keeping this pace up through the end of the year, it is possible that I will hit the previously unthinkable number of 70 books in a single year.
