Sunday Morning

I slept in late this morning, not getting out of bed until the unheard of hour of 8 am. I think it was the most sleep I’ve gotten in months. I’m glad. I needed it.

Today looks to be a wet day here in northern Virginia. I still have a lot of work to do on my technical specification and I imagine I’ll spend much of the day working on that (from home, at least). Yesterday, I completed a draft of a nonfiction article that I need to turn in next week. Got some useful feedback from folks on it and will try to squeeze in the remaining changes and finalize the draft today.

As it turns out, I have a kind of mini-streak going with my writing. I’ve exceeded more than 1,000 words for the last 3 consecutive days. The last time I had three 1,000+ word days was April 1-3. If I can write 1,000 words today, I’ll have a record “mini-streak” of 4-days, which would be nice, considering that my 140-day writing streak broke while I was at Launch Pad and I am once again climbing my way back to a new 141-day writing streak (today is Day 6).

And in one month, I head off to Worldcon.

What are you doing this Sunday morning
