I was awakened in the middle of the night last night not to the sounds of loudly chirping crickets, but instead to the delicate sound of thunder. It’s the first rain we’ve had since the heat wave struck, and the gentle rumblings in the sky, combined with the patter of rain on the roof made for a very pleasant and relaxing sound.
