When I checked the mail today I had not one but two science magazines. First there was the November 15 issue of NEW SCIENTIST (with its special section on science fiction). Also in the mail was the December issue of SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN. Plenty of reading to catch up on over this cold weekend.
Well, there are flakes in the air right now, snow flakes, and it’s only November 21, still a month away from winter. And 6 days ago it was in the 70s.
According to French physicists, Einstein’s famous equation, E=mc2 is correct after all. An article in SCIENCE details how they confirmed this. Apparently, it’s the first time the theory has ever been confirmed, which is funny. I always thought it was confirmed on July 16, 1945.
Busy and productive day at work today. It was bitter cold today, but we made the most of it. When we got home from work, we lit the fireplace and sat by the fire all evening, being lazy and watching TV: Smallville, The Office, and Life on Mars. No mail of interest today. I spoke briefly…
