Early retirement

I’m retiring early tonight. I was going to stay up and watch the Yankee game, but it’s just after 9 PM here and I’m already beat. It’s a short work week, but a busy one and I’ve spent much of the day cleaning up the house. I’m just plain tuckered out. So, I’ve turned off the TV. I’m going to pack my lunch for tomorrow and then it’s off to bed. I’ll probably read for a little while (I’m about 55 pages through Flowers for Algernon) but it’s going to be an early night tonight.

The Fall season unofficially begins tomorrow evening at 9 PM, when the first of the Three Shows that I Watch, House has its season premier. (The other two shows are Smallville and Battlestar Galactica.)
