I’m getting a slightly late start to my lunch today, but that’s okay because half of my meetings have been canceled! I had an hour-long interview scheduled after lunch with a candidate for a new programming job on my team, but he never showed up for the interview. I don’t know why. Then, I had a project team meeting later this afternoon that was canceled out of lack of interest. That’s not the real reason, although it might as well be.
All of this means that I don’t have to rush through my lunch. I started reading part IV of Rob Sawyer’s Rollback on the train into work today and I can continue reading it at lunch. And my afternoon is now freed up to get some “real” work done.
