Late start

I got a late start this morning and didn’t get into work until about 9:30 AM. It was like this:

I spent yesterday afternoon doing nothing. I watched some TV, but really, I did nothing. Maybe a little laundry, and some grocery shopping, but aside from that, I was as lazy as I could possibly be. I managed to sleep after getting home yesterday morning, but only for a few hours. The bottom line here is that I was incredibly lazy when I could have been productive.

Then, at 6 PM, when I’d worn out every lazy activity I could think of, I decided to catch the 7:15 PM showing of Casino Royale. It turned to be a surprisingly good James Bond movie, in my opinion, and could have been even better if they kept the special effects and stuff, but limited the setting to the 1960s. In any event, I didn’t get home until 10:30 PM. Finally, finally, I set about doing my chores, packing my lunch, and getting ready for work the next day.

I got to bed sometime around 11:30 PM, which was too late. At 4 AM, I decided I needed some extra sleep so I reset my alarm to 9:30 AM, but I ended up waking up at 8:30 AM and at that point, decided to head into work.

So, like I said, I’ve gotten a late start today and I will be playing catch-up for the rest of the day.

On the positive side, however, I read more of Humans on the train ride into work and it has gotten really good. My reading has slowed considerably these last few months. The last book I finished was nearly 2 months ago! But Humans is very good, and I’m already looking forward to Hybrids, the concluding volume of the trilogy.
