I have decided to build a house, and I have Doug and Rachel (and Ruby and Carson) to thank for it. Doug, who works in the home loan industry has made this incredibly easy for me, supplying me with everything I need to get the job done, with absolutely no paperwork.
Just as I was finishing dinner, UPS arrived to deliver a package. A quick check of the package revealed that it was not the one that Mom warned me not to open, so I felt that I was okay in opening it. I did so, and I couldn’t believe what was inside; I nearly collapsed in laugher:
A LegoTM set for building a house!
There is, of course, a story behind this. When I was in Seattle for Thanksgiving, I started playing with Ruby’s Lego set and I build some kind of space ship with the pieces, followed by a model of the Empire State Building. It was the first time I’d played with Legos since I was a kid, and I had a ball! I had so much fun, in fact, that when I got back from Seattle, I toyed with the idea of going into a toy store to buy myself a set of Legos. But Doug, Rachel, Ruby and Carson beat me to it and all I can say is WOW, it’s fantastic!
I can’t wait to start building!
I am hoping that construction will be completed before the big trip this summer. Of course, I will post pictures of the on-going progress of the house through it’s various stages. Stay-tuned.
