A mostly lazy day. I sat out on the porch, enjoying the weather, and getting through about 70 pages of I. Asimov today. I had planned to get some writing done, but it got bumped. Kelly and I went for a walk late this afternoon and it was so pleasant out, I wanted to keep walking. I made us orange chicken for dinner, using chicken tenders and it came out pretty good.
Heard from the accountant today and got an email copy of our tax returns. When all was said and done, it didn’t look too bad–not nearly as bad as the past few years. Next year should be even better.
Spoke with Jen and Doug yesterday. Hadn’t talked to Doug in a while and it was nice to hear from him. Rachel is due any day now, so I expect to get an email or call in the next week letting us know that the newest member of the family has arrived.
I decided to head to bed early last night and fell asleep almost at once. I woke up a little while later and Kelly had come to bed. I went to adjust the blankets and when I reached with my right hand, I upset the already damaged nerves in my hand and they screamed at me. That pretty much woke me up and kept me up for the next two hours. Fortunately, my hand feels a little better this morning.
