30 day song challenge, day 14: a song that no one would expect you to love

I’ve mentioned elsewhere how my friend Dan listened to punk all through college. I wasn’t particularly fond of most of it, but I picked up through osmosis and I have the same kind of appreciation for it as I do other types of music I don’t typically listen to. It is generally not my cup of tea, but when I work out (or I should say, when I used to work out) I would occasionally listen to some punk album because the pacing of it was what I was looking for. There is at least one song that I really like (I don’t know that I’d say “love”) and I imagine a few people would probably not expect it. That song is:

Flat Earth Society by Bad Religion

Generally speaking, I like Bad Religion’s sound. I like Greg Graffin’s vocals (to say nothing of the fact that he is an honest-to-god scientist) and “Flat Earth Society” just amuses me. I can listen to it and it always puts a smile on my face.
