We generally have a live Christmas tree each year. Indeed, last year, we cut down our tree ourselves, which was very cool. This year, however, since we will be on vacation, we decided to forgo the live tree. My friend Casey provided us with his old “fake” tree last year. We originally intended to have a live tree down in our family room and put the fake tree in my office. But since we didn’t get a live tree this year, we set the fake tree up in the family room. Turns out, it looks pretty darn good there. Probably because the kids decorated it this year.
