Let’s Go Fly A Kite

Yesterday, immediately after the Little Man’s first-ever t-ball practice1 we headed over to a nearby lake where we met a group of friends, and flew kites. I think I’d been around people flying kites before, but I can’t ever recall flying one myself. Turns out, I was pretty good at it:

Let's Go Fly A Kite

I picked up the basics quickly, and the Little Man loved that I was able to get the kite so high. Of course, I let him fly it, once I got it up there. Several of his friends flew it, too. I’ll tell you, there was something incredibly relaxing about that kite flying. Time zipped by. I almost forgot to eat the lunch I’d packed. It was a busy day, but it was also a lot of fun.

  1. More on this in the near future.
