Books, book, and more books

07 Aug 2006 » 1 min read » Filed under: Reading & Books

I’m well into my mid-summer book-buying mode. Today, I picked up three more books: Shoeless Joe by W. P. Kinsella (to replace a copy I’d given to Doug); Against the Fall of Night by Arthur C. Clarke; and Why People Believe Weird Things: Pseudoscience, Superstition, and Other Confusions of Our Time by Michael Shermer (publisher of THE SKEPTIC magazine).

I plan on reading all three of these books (and the two books I ordered yesterday) before the summer is out. It will be the second time I’ve read Shoeless Joe, but as one of the best all-time books I’ve ever read, I’m okay with that.

I also picked up Sarah McLachlan’s fumbling towards ecstacy album, which is the one album that was not available on the Apple Music Store.
