Workout #42 (Cardio)

26 Jan 2007 » 1 min read » Filed under: Fitness & Health

Up at 4:30 and into the gym by 5:50 AM. Workout #42 is special, of course, because 42 is the answer to the question of Life, the Universe, and Everything. So in honor of that, I took it a little easy on the cardio workout this morning. Also, I didn’t listen to my regular cardio playlist, but instead just listed to randomly shuffled music.

Okay, the real reason I took it easy is that I am still a little sore from the brutal lower body workout yesterday, especially my left hamstring, and I didn’t want to over do things. I’m a wimp. So sue me!

40 minutes on the elliptical this morning. I burned 547 calories, went a distance of 2.92 miles and reached a peak RPM of 110. My pace was between 80 RPM. After cardio, I did some arms and shoulder exercises in prep for my workout tomorrow.

Group 1 1st Set 2nd Set 3rd Set
------- ------- ------- -------
Pulldown 12/30 12/35 12/35
Bicep curls 12/40 12/50 12/50
Bosu crunches 20LR 25LR 30LR

It was about 10 degrees out when I left the gym, and it feels so good to get out into that cold fresh air after a workout. I love it! I confirmed that my next session with Bernard will be Thursday at 4:30 PM (I have a meeting that runs until 4 PM). My next workout, tomorrow, is arms and shoulders.
