Workout #62 (Cardio)

26 Feb 2007 » 1 min read » Filed under: Fitness & Health

Up at 4:15 AM. For some reason, I woke up a little earlier than usual and felt pretty wide awake. I rolled over to turn off my alarm and realized that I never set it last night! Oh well, I rarely wake to the alarm anyway. I was into the gym by 5:50 this morning and I did good on both cardio and my brief upper body workout, setting a new personal record on the latter.

40 minutes on the elliptical this morning. I managed a record 586 calories, and a distance of 3.14 miles. I reached a peak RPM of 97. My pace was a record 86 RPM. After cardio, I did a group of chest exercises exercises in prep for my workout tomorrow.

Group 1 1st Set 2nd Set 3rd Set
------- ------- ------- -------
Chest press 12/115 12/115 12/115
Dead lifts 12/80 12/80 12/80
Knee-ins 20 20 20

This marks the first time I’ve ever done 3 full sets of chest press all at 115 lbs. If I can do it again tomorrow, than I’ll start bumping up that last set a notch or so and slowly work my way up.

The workout felt really good this morning. Even the elliptical workout felt smooth and the 40 minutes flew by. Tomorrow is a full chest and back workout.
