A “Learned Astronomer” screenplay?

My buddy Paraag dropped by my office this morning to give me a “present”–which turned out to be a screenplay version of my short story, “When I Kissed the Learned Astronomer“. Paraag writes screenplays and naturally, I could not resist reading this one. I whipped through all 39 pages of it and I really enjoyed it. At times, I was laughing out loud so hard that I was collecting curious glances from people passing my office. As with any screenplay adaptation, there are things that Paraag took liberties with, and he added his own touch, of course. But the story rings true and I better yet, I could picture it as he wrote it. On the screen, I think he improved my ending.

I was very impressed and rather touched that someone would take the effort to do this for a story that I wrote.
