Much to my surprise, I did a little bit of writing tonight. It was not the story that I wanted to be working on but another story that I’ve attempted to start about 8 times and that I haven’t gotten quite right. I’m not sure it’s right this time either, but I’m sticking with it, writing the whole thing and then I’ll see how it goes. It’s an emotional story (in my mind) and I think I’m having trouble capturing the tone I want, but like every writer will tell you: so what, just write anyway, it’s the only way you’ll learn.

I did just over 500 words.

Also started William Gibson’s new book, Spook Country today. So far, so good!
