I turned on the TV to catch some news and was reminded that tonight is Oscar night in Hollywood. I won’t be watching. The whole Oscar thing lost its shine for me after I left L.A. But it wouldn’t matter anyway. I don’t believe I’ve seen a single thing nominated. Not one. So tonight will be like any other night in our household–which means I should have been upstairs 5 minutes ago, getting the kids ready for bed and getting things setup for tomorrow morning.
