DirecTV followup

Two days ago, I grumbled about the MLB Extra Innings broadcast of the Yankee game going out at exactly 11 PM in the middle of the bottom of the 10th inning. I was fuming and emailed DirecTV. Today I got a response, and it was friendly and specific enough that it satisfies me.

Dear Jamie,

Thanks for writing. I’m sorry that you missed the last part of the Yankees @ Devil Rays game on Wednesday night. When airing a baseball game in MLB EXTRA INNINGS, we try to schedule extra time in our broadcast window in case it goes longer than expected. We also monitor the games and adjust the broadcast window as needed. Unfortunately, the adjustment was not made for Wednesday night’s game.

I realize that baseball is very important to you and I’m very sorry for this mistake. Our broadcast center is taking steps to make sure that this does not happen again.

Thanks again for writing, we appreciate your understanding.

Sincerely,
