Workout #12 (Cardio)

Up at 4:30 and into the gym by 5:50 AM for my cardio workout. I was on a different elliptical machine and my heart rate was higher on that machine than the machine I usually use and it makes me wonder if one of the machines is miscalibratated. I did 40 minutes, burning 504 calories and going 2.71 miles. At least at the beginning I hate to keep the RPMs at 73 to maintain a 149 HR.


It was busy in the gym this morning and I couldn’t get all of the machines I wanted right away so I had to break my usual group into two smaller groups. (I can only imagine what it will be like after the first of the year when everyone attempt to meet their New Years resolutions to lose weight.)

Tomorrow is my only afternoon session of the week, when I work out with Bernard. As much as I’d like to workout in the mornings exclusively during the week, it’s nice to be able to go to bed at 9:30 tonight and still be able to get in 8 hours of sleep (I didn’t get to bed until about 9:50 last night, more than an hour later than I am supposed to.) It does make a difference.
