Workout #29 (Cardio)

Up at 4:30. I was a little worried that the derailment would force me to find alternate paths into work, but I took my chances, and for a wonder, there were only minimal delays. I caught the Yellow line at PG Plaza and was at Pentagon City at 5:48, ten minutes later than usual.

40 minutes on the elliptical this morning. I burned 541 calories, went a distance of 2.89 miles and reached a peak RPM of 110. The sprints are getting easier. The two today didn’t reach the usual peak, but they were more sustained. After cardio, I did a group of chest exercises in prep for my chest and back workout tomorrow.

Group 1 1st Set 2nd Set 3rd Set
------- ------- ------- -------
Chest press 12/95 12/95 12/105
Kickbacks 12/35LR 12/35LR 12/35LR
Leg lifts 12 12 12

I was very pleased with the last set on the chest press. It was the first time I did a full set at 105 lbs, and it was the last set, to boot, which means that was with muscle fatigue. Today also represents the first day of the fifth week that I have been at this with regularity and consistency. It feels great.
