This afternoon was one of my toughest workouts ever. Bernard stepped it up a notch. It started with my <sarcasm>favorite</sarcasm> and only got worse tougher from there.
Up at 4:30 and into the gym at 5:50 AM. This marks my 40th workout in the last 51 days. That’s not too bad. If I actually made it to the gym 6 times a week during that time, I should have done 45 workouts, which means that I’ve missed 5 workouts (3 last week!).…
Up at 4:30 AM and had my hard-boiled eggs for breakfast. I could only eat 3 of the 4 that I prepared, but at least I got the protein. I was into the gym at 5:50 and ready to go for my chest and back workout.
Bernard told me that it takes about 3 weeks after the New Year for 90% of the people who made resolutions to get in shape to give up. This is where Bally’s makes most of their money, I suppose. But he was right. Today, when I got to the gym at 5:50, it was empty.…
I did my first full strength training workout in a week this afternoon. I had a big breakfast at about 10 AM (eggs, bacon, hash browns, pancakes) and headed to the gym at about 11:30. Surprisingly, the gym in Greenbelt was packed. I couldn’t even warm up on an elliptical machine because they were all…
Up at 4:30 and into the gym by 5:55 AM. (Yes, I actually made it.) I was feeling pretty low-energy this morning, even after eating breakfast. I think it had something to do with a really strange dream I had last night. But I muddled my way through the workout.
I forgot to schedule my training session with Bernard last time and so there is no 4 PM appointment this afternoon. Now, I could go into the gym anyway, but I am going to take advantage of the fact that I have completely screwed up my strength training this week, and skip this evening’s planned…
Up at 4:30 after a full 8 hours of sleep last night, which felt pretty darn good. I’m trying to get back on track after missing my workout yesterday, and on Saturday.
I worked out with Jen and Jason this morning at their gym in New York. I skipped my workout on Saturday, but I was back to my routine this morning. I didn’t have a chance to eat beforehand, but I still did okay.
Up at 4:30 and I didn’t get to bed until almost 10:30 last night so I was a little groggy this morning. I woke up quickly on the train ride in, as I started reading another good story, Kris Rusch’s “Recovering Apollo 8” in the February 2007 issue of ASIMOV’S.
Up at 4:30 AM and into the gym by 5:55. I did my warm up and then Bernard and I got started on an arms & shoulders workout.
Lights were out before 9 last night and I actually got a pretty decent night’s sleep. I was in the middle of a deep sleep (and dream) when my alarm went off at 4:25 AM. I was into the gym by 5:55 for my cardio workout.
